Not new by any means, Nude is one of my favourite songs off In Rainbows.
I once read an explanation of the song written by Thom Yorke, and can’t find it now. If I remember correctly, it’s about men who get grandiose, unrealistic ideas about having affairs. And this video, I think, going along with that thinking, makes the guys look foolish in slow-mo, bringing them back down to earth, knocking down any big ideas they might be fostering.
It’s funny. I didn’t like Radiohead til they ventured into electronic sounds with Kid A. They’re probably the biggest, well-known band I like and I’m not afraid to say it. Though, I will most likely never go to see them in concert again. Unless it’s in a more intimate setting, and what are the odds of that happening again? Their show at Salle Wilfred-Pelletier was just amazing and a once in a lifetime experience… from the 5th row! I deftly smuggled my camera in and captured Thom Yorke in a real moment. Very neat.
