Veganmofo: Ok, let’s get cooking!

OMG, it’s Veganmofo 2010 already. (What do you think, Upgrayedd, is my stove ready or what?)

I knew this one would be a toughie, what with work and the new house and all, but I decided to participate again this year since it’s a good opportunity cook, bake and eat. So what can you expect from meansoybean.com this round? Let’s see…

  • Finally diciphering the ingredient quanitites of the Dragon Sauce from Aux Vivres
  • Reviewing recipes from blogs, rather than cookbooks (suggestions? leave a comment!)
  • Veganizing a few recipes
  • Testing whipping creams from Sweden (in black forest cake, truffles & mille feuilles)
  • How I keep vegan while abroad
  • How to elope to NYC in vegan (and efficient) style
  • Showcasing my nifty wheatgrass juicer
  • Showcasing my nifty sprouter
  • Trying out some raw recipes, like cashew cheese
  • A weekly snapshot of “yesterday’s dinner” — an easy cop-out post

These are my notes, but there will certainly be more. Looking for a good way to keep tabs on me? Subscribe to my RSS feed. Until tomorrow, people!

    • Yeahhhh, he’s a cutie. He’s also quite the mischievous furball. He picks fights with the two older cats; obviously the alpha male of his litter.
